Today is Day 6 of the March Slice of Life, hosted at Two Writing Teachers. Writing daily, in a supportive community, is such a unique way to encourage our writing.ImageToday is also “30 Words Thursday” – a challenge that asks us to share in 30 words only.

                                                           Roses

                                                    Pink, red, white

                                                   Roses in bloom

                                                   Grace our table

                                                   Beauty in flower

                                                   Filling our senses

                                                   Smell, touch, sight.

                                                   Not for Valentine’s

                                                   A just because

                                                   A loving gesture

                                                   Love for me.

These roses are just one of the many bouquets my husband gets for me, usually monthly, but often every two weeks. This has been his loving habit for over 12 years. We both enjoy their beauty and it is a special gesture on his part, one I have grown to love.
