As I was outside on this lovely day, I of course had to check out our gardens. The flowers have been so spectacular this year. So colourful and lovely.
They called for a poem and so I wrote this for 30 Words Thursday – the fun word/photo challenge at Treasures Found.
Flowers
Splashes of colour
Dotting the gardens
From reds to pinks
Yellows to purples
Fuschsia for Mom
Coneflower for mother-in-law
Stargazer lily for me
Hibiscus as well
Summer’s glory
Bring joy!
I just spent a whole afternoon running around taking pictures of flowers at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum…but you have all these at your place?! Very nice!
We’re lucky I know. Not huge gardens like at the arboretum, but a small plant of each. Love them. You must have had some amazing shots yourself!
What gorgeous blooms you have! I am no good at growing things like this. I appreciate the ephemeral beauty of the gardens in the summer as it will be all too soon devoid of color around here come winter! Thank you for joining in the 30 Words challenge. Enjoy the day! Erin
I am not really the gardener – I kill plants in the house! But I chose these as these are my favourites. Love your challenge Erin – thanks for stopping by.
Oh wow what beautiful flowers and such great shots!
Thanks Niky – love my flowers – trying to soak in their loveliness right now.
