Today is Day 16 of the March Slice of Life – the daily writing challenge hosted at Two Writing Teachers.

Another picture book I read this morning presents another view of how children around the world are more alike than they are different.
“One World, One Day“, a photo book by Barbara Kerley, shares one day, from sunrise to night, in the lives of children around the world.

One quote she included in her afterword to the book, struck me as an anthem we need to embrace and shout from the rooftops.

My experience in Nepal – and the traveling I`ve done in the 25 years since then – convinced me that all of us around the world have much in common, and that the more we can embrace our commonality, the more tolerant we can be of our differences.
