March Slice of Life – Day 16: P

Today is Day 16 of the March Slice of Life – the daily writing challenge hosted at Two Writing Teachers.

P is for Pizza and Pickles, Peaches and Popcorn

When I jotted down the letter P for today, the first thing that popped into my head was pizza. Then other P foods tumbled out – peaches, popcorn, and pickles.

It made me realize just how much I miss pizza and even peaches – good peaches that is.

I have been (almost) lactose-free for some time but so miss hot slices of pizza with melted cheese. Pepperoni, mushroom and green pepper or ham and pineapple. Yum!

I can still taste the juicy Georgia peaches we had last summer when we were in Georgia. I couldn’t get enough of them. Juice dripping onto my fingers as I bit into each peach. Heavenly.

I’ve gotten to like Smart Pop popcorn and a bowl at night is a tasty snack with not too many calories. We do have an air popper but I prefer the quickness of the bagged popcorn.

There are not too many foods I do not like but I can definitely pass on pickles, anchovies and oysters are on the dislike list.

What are your food likes and dislikes?

  1. From just your title, my first thought was pregnancy cravings.😁 But now you’ve got me craving some peaches. As to your ending question: I detest with all my heart and soul liver. My tastebuds are in heaven when it comes to most things pumpkin.

    • Got a chuckle because I had originally written about not having pickle and ice cream cravings while pregnant. I don’t mind liver but haven’t had it in ages – as my husband couldn’t have it for a long time. I love pumpkin as well.
