March Slice of Life – Day 20: S

Today is Day 20 of the March Slice of Life – the daily writing challenge hosted at Two Writing Teachers.

S is for Spring

How special that today is the first day of spring – and the letter for today is S. Serendipity?

For me, spring:

* heralds the earth reawakening after a long sleep

*is a time to cast off winter wear and embrace the new warmth

*means budding flowers, chirping birds, mud, rain

*is a time for new growth, new goals, new starts

*is Easter, a celebration that Christ has risen

The first day of spring also means that I must create my spring vision board, to highlight what I want to focus on in the coming spring months. Here it is:

(also includes my OLW – Cultivate – a perfect word for spring and one I need to refocus on)

What are you planning for spring? What does spring mean to you?

  1. For me the first day of Spring means a free Italian Ice at Rita’s or a free ice cream cone at Dairy Queen. It is the time to watch the pussy willows and lilacs bloom. It is a time of rebirth.

  2. Great post. Spring really does represent so much, especially the end of winter and the grayness and darkness. I am so ready for sunny days, flowers, and some warmth! I Love the line about new growth, new goals and new starts!
