Blogging A to Z – A is for Affirmation

Today is the first day of “Blogging A to Z April Challenge

A is first for Amy Krouse Rosenthal

I bought a copy of Amy Krouse Rosenthal’s “Encyclopedia of Me” and realized it would be a wonderful way to work my way through the alphabet.

I still find it shocking that Amy was taken from us way to soon. Her books and videos are so special. Take the time to check out her work here.

On April 29, Amy’s birthday, there will be a massive tribute to her, with #More. Check out the loving tribute by Chronicle Books here.

A is for Affirmations

What is an affirmation?

“Affirmations are positive, specific statements that help you to overcome self-sabotaging, negative thoughts. They help you visualize, and believe in, what you’re affirming to yourself, helping you to make positive changes to your life and career.” (Google)

Why use them?

Affirmations have the power to :

-reframe negative thoughts

-rewire our brains

-strengthen us

-put a positive spin on what pulls us down

Here are some affirmations I wrote out to help me reframe some of my negative thoughts that get in the way of facing life with positivity:
