I haven’t taken part in Top Ten Tuesday for a while but when I saw the theme for this week, I knew I had to respond, even though I’m a bit late.
This week we are sharing our Top Ten Favorite Books of 2017.
I record the books I read and it was a treat to reflect on what I have read this year and try to limit it to just 10. I ended up with a list of top ten adult books, both fiction and non-fiction and top ten children’s and young adult books.
Juliet’s Answer by Glenn Dixon A non-fiction but a great read.
Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid
Beach House for Rent by Mary Alice Monroe (as well as the rest of the books in this series)
Time is a River by Mary Alice Monroe (had to include this as I loved it especially)
The Bookshop on the Corner by Jenny Colgan
Stargazey Point by Shelley Noble
Call Me Irresistible by Susan Elizabeth Phillips (I’d definitely include all her books though)
Map of the Heart by Susan Wiggs
Kitchen Counter Cooking School by Kathleen Flinn (another non-fiction, but loved the cooking tips and the interaction of the students)
The Day the World Came to Town: 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland by Tim Defede (in the political climate of today, this was such a feel-good story)
Top Ten YA/MG/Children’s Books
Caraval by Stephanie Garber
Ms Bixby’s Last Day by John David Anderson
Finding Winnie by Lindsay Mattick
Wish by Barbara O’Connor
Magyk by Angie Sage
