Today is Day 20 of the March Slice of Life – the daily writing challenge hosted at “Two Writing Teachers”.
I am using Encyclopedia of Me; My Life from A to Z, a guided journal created by Amy Krause Rosenthal.
Rocky – The Musical
We attended our local theatre’s first production of the year this afternoon. “Rocky: The Musical was excellent” Strong leads, great music and fantastic sets. What a talented group of actors/singers.
The actor who played Rocky had his voice, accent and mannerisms down pat.
There was a chance for about 20 people to become the audience for the final fight. We were sitting in the third row, but only those in the first and second rows were chosen. My chance to be on stage was missed by a row!
It has been a long time since I saw the original “Rocky” but as I watched this adaptation, I was taken back. Sylvester Stallone’s movie has had a long life, and entertained millions.
Our theatre, The Hamilton Family Theatre, offers excellent entertainment every time – from plays, to musicals to performers. My favourites have been: Les Mis, Man of La Mancha, Mama Mia and west Side Story.
Can’t wait for the next performance.
Sounds like you had a great time. This is one show I have not seen but would have like to. Our next show at the Hershey Theatre in a few weeks is On Your Feet – the story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan. We saw this in NYC and are looking forward to seeing it again. Great music.
Now that sounds like a great show. Loved their music.
