It’s Monday. What Are You Reading?

With a new month, the start of a new school year, I’ve decided to take part in Kathryn’s weekly meme IMWAYR at Book Date on a more regular basis. It’s a great opportunity to share what I’m reading and have read over the past week

What I’ve Read
Last week was a varied reading week – from historical romance to mystery to women’s fiction. Here are the books I read:

Stay by Allie Larkin.
A fun read. Van is trying to move on after the love of her life marries and ends up buying a German shepherd from Slovakia. (woman’s fiction)

Too Many Cooks by Dana Bate
Kelly is hired to ghostwrite a cookbook for a famous actress, in London. What could go wrong? Really enjoyed it.

Buried in Books by Kate Carlisle
This cozy mystery is number 12 of the Bibliophile Mystery series and was a quick, enjoyable read. What could possibly interrupt Brooklyn’s & Derek’s wedding?

A Scot in the Dark by Sarah MacLean
I have discovered 2 historical romance series by MacLean and am thoroughly enjoying them.

What I’m Reading Now

In Shining Armor by Elliott James
This is the fourth book in this urban fantasy series of the Pax Arcana. Such imagination and such an interesting flawed hero in John Charming.

Vision in Silver by Anne Bishop
I discovered Bishop last month and am so drawn to this series of The Others. Even bought two books as they weren’t available through the library. Meg and Simon are wonderful main characters.

What’s Up Next

Shout by Laurie Halse Anderson
Really looking forward to reading her memoir in prose.

The Islanders by Meg Mitchell Moore
I’ve heard good reviews about this and it sounds intriguing.
