It’s time once again for Kathryn’s weekly meme “It’s Monday! What are You Reading?“, at Book Date, where we share what we’re reading and have read over the past week.
Finally starting to feel better – this cold has lingered for a while. At least I could read!
What I Read Last Week
I read 11 books: 6 picture books, 3 historical romances, 1 contemporary romance, and a middle grade novella.
Here are the books I read:
2 historical romances by Johanna Lindsay.
Let Love Find You
Wildfire in His Arms
Seduction on a Snowy Night – historical romance anthology, which I enjoyed
The Country Guesthouse by Robyn Carr – Loved it
The Julian Chapter by R. J. Palacio – Loved Wonder and this enlarges our understanding of Julian. Really enjoyed it. Read this, then read White Bird, Palacio’s graphic novel.
PBs:
Where oh Where is Baby Bear? By Ashley Wolff
If You’re a Monster and You Know it by Rebecca and Ed Emberley
Circle by Jeannie Baker
Miss Brook’s Story Nook by Barbara Bottner, illus. by Michael Emberley
Sonya’s Chickens by Phoebe Wahl
Olga’s Christmas Postcards by Kevin Major, illus. by Bruce Robets
What I’m Reading Now
The Girl in the Letter by Emily Gunnis
An Easy Death by Charlaine Harris
What’s Up Next
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
It looks like you had a nice week! Seduction on A Snowy Night sounds good and has a pretty cover, I’m all ears! And I enjoyed Crooked Kingdom a lot but it felt a bit long drawn out to me. An exciting read nonetheless!
Thanks Tina. I’m slowly working through Crooked Kingdom – am enjoying it tho.
You got a lot of reading done, An Easy Death is on my wishlist
Wishing you a great reading week
Thanks Shelleyrae. Hope you have a great reading week as well.
Congrats on getting so much reading done! My niece’s name is Brook, so I’ll have to look up that picture book. Have a great week!
Thanks Aj – it was a cute book.
Oh, I didn’t realize that the Wonder series had novellas. Cool!
It’s actually part of 3 chapters – Auggie and me – 3 Wonder stories.
Glad to hear you are feeling better! Those pesky colds can last forever (or so it seems!)
Thanks! II know. At least it didn’t stop me from reading!
Nice looking assortment of books. Come see me week here. Happy reading!
Thanks Kathy. All the best to you as well.
I used to love Joanna Lindsay’s books; I haven’t red one of hers in a long time!
I had never read any of hers – so making up for it.
A lot of blogs have featured the Robyn Carr book. I hope you enjoyed it. See what I read Girl Who Reads
