It’s time once again for Kathryn’s weekly meme “It’s Monday! What are You Reading?“, at Book Date, where we share what we’re reading and have read over the past week.
What I Read Last Week
I read 12 books: 3 picture books, 1 MG, 3 contemporary romances, a women’s fiction, 2 non-fiction and 2 fantasy ebooks
Here are the books I read:
Joy for Beginners by Erica Bauermeister – So enjoyed this women’s fiction by a favourite author. Love the idea of having to fulfill a challenge set by someone else – and these 6 women complete their challenges.
Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey – Really loved this romance.
Cold as January by Katie Graykowski Love the humour in her books and this was a sweet romance
A Kiss Before You Go by Danny Gregory This was a touching, moving illustrated memoir by the artist Danny Gregory, of love and loss, after the death of his wife
Beverly, Right Here by Kate DiCamillo. DiCamillo is an extraordinary writer and this was a sweet middle grade novel.
2 fantasy ebooks by Eli Grant and Drake Mason, both of which I enjoyed:
Vampire Deception Changeling Rebellion
Jim Henson’s Doodle Dreams by Jim Lewis and Jim Hesnson Enjoyed this short inspiring book
Runaway Bride by Cynthia Swan A sweet romance, an ebook.
3 Picture books
Go Show the World by Wab Kinew – A diverse read
It Began with a Page by Kyo Maclear
Tickled Pink by Andre Poulin
What I’m Reading Now
An Easy Death by Charlaine Harris
A Wedding in December by Sarah Morgen
What’s Up Next
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
Wow so many books that I haven’t seen before. The only one I know is the Sarah Morgan one. Hope you enjoy it.
Thanks Kathryn. I’ve started it and already enjoying it.
I enjoyed Joy for Beginners. I have been meaning to get her new one too.
I’m trying to read all of hers as well.
Some good suggestions here. I just started to read Malcolm Gladwell’s “Talking to Strangers”. It’s shocking yet fascinating.
I’ve read a few of his – not this one yet.
Nice variety of books. I haven’t read DiCamillo for years. I am so far behind on her books. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
Thanks Kathy. Happy reading to you as well.
I have Beverly Right Here on my TBR. My weekly update
Couldn’t resist – one of my fav. authors and my name in the title! Hope you enjoy it.
I don’t think I’ve read Kate DiCamillo yet, but I really need to!
She writes mostly middle grade novels – Because of Winn Dixie, Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane were my favs.
