It’s time once again for Kathryn’s weekly meme “It’s Monday! What are You Reading?“, at Book Date, where we share what we’re reading and have read over the past week.
What I Read Last Week
I read books 6 adult books (and 4 picture books, part of my pb study) – 3 fantasy, 1 non-fiction, and 2 historical romances.
Winter Halo by Keri Arthur (Book 2 in her Outcasts series) – So enjoying this series. To finish the series, I ended up buying the third book as out libraries are now closed until May 4 and really didn’t want to wait to finish the series.
Cross Breed by Lora Leigh. I found this an intriguing start to a 5-book series and can’t wait to read the rest of this fantasy series
The Book of Ichigo Ichie by Hector Garcia and Frances Miralles. Fascinating read.
Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Another first book of a fantasy series that I thoroughly enjoyed.
2 historical romances by Lorraine Heath
An Affair with a Notorious Heiress
Once More, My Darling Rogue
4 Picture Books
The Curious Garden by Peter Brown
Pros and Cons of Being a Frog by Sue deGennaro
The Stuff of Stars by Marion Dane Bauer
The Book of Mistakes by Corinna Luyken
What I’m Reading Now (I’ve got several books on the go now)
The Black Tide by Keri Arthur (Book 3)
Come Away with Me by Karma Brown
The Prayer Box by Lisa Wingate
Then There Was You by Miranda Liasson
More Lorraine Heath’s historical romances
What’s Up Next – STILL!
Keep it Moving by Twyla Tharp.
Becoming by Michelle Obama
It’s great to have some series fantasy books that you are loving, totally away from the real world.I am finding I am getting back into a bit of audiobook these days. Going out for a walk has made a difference that!
I was out pulling a few weeds this morning. It was so fresh outside. Even had the screen door open for hours yesterday. Enjoy your walks and your audiobooks!
I haven’t read a Lorraine Heath romance for years!
last month was my first, but sure enjoying her books.
I’ve enjoyed Keri Arthur’s past series, particularly the Riley Jensen UF series.
Wishing you a great reading week and good health
Thanks Shelleyrae. Haven’t read that series – will check it out. Graet reading and good health to you as well.
“The Book of Ichigo Ichie” looks interesting. Thanks, I’ll put it on my TBR list. I am currently reading “Be With: Letter to a Caregiver” by Mike Barnes, which is a series of short dispatches Barnes wrote based on caring for his mother with Alzheimer’s. I am also listening to “Refugee” with my daughter, as she has been assigned to finish the book at home. Finally, since I have run out of new picture books to read, I have been accessing them through Tumblebooks, which is currently free through the library website. This morning’s read, “Golden Threads”, is brilliant.
Haven’t tried Tumbleweeds The day the library closed, I happened to be in to exchange books and got a lot of pbs for the ReFoReMo readings. Now the closure is extended to May. 4 At least I can get electronic books if needed. Altho I have so many on my TBR shelves. Take care!
.
I’ve read a lot of Keri Arthur’s books but not this series. I’ll have to look for it. I recently got Cross Breed but didn’t know it was the start of a new series. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
I’ll have to check out her other series. Thanks Kathy
Winter Halo looks good! And the book on the Japanese Way as well- i love books like that that give me a different perspective.
Stay well and safe this week!
Thanks Greg. Both were interesting for sure.
