It’s Monday! What are You Reading?

It’s time once again for Kathryn’s weekly meme “It’s Monday! What are You Reading?“, at Book Date, where we share what we’re reading and have read over the past week.

What I Read Last Week
I read books 6 books – I memoir, 2 fantasies and 3 paranormal. I still have several books I’ve started, but again I just couldn’t settle to any of them, at least to finish them. I turned again to my kindle and read some shorter paranormal/fantasy ebooks – as it seems we are living in a bizarro time now.

Books I read:

dinner with edward25810609

Dinner with Edward by Isabel Vincent. This memoir is a delightful look at the friendship of a 90+ man and a much younger Isabel and what she learned from Edward.

vampire mage35909975._SY475_

Vampire Mage by Janelle Peel. Was an okay paranormal

carpe demon23244

Carpe Demon by Julie Kenner. Enjoyed this funny paranormal

2 fantasies by May Sage that I really enjoyed

after darkness44045827._SY475_    beauty and beast 29481162

After Darkness Falls         Beauty and the Beast

act of mercy20830493

Act of Mercy by Mandy M. Roth. First in a series was an interesting read.

What I’m Reading Now (I’ve still got these books on the go)
The Black Tide by Keri Arthur (Book 3)
Come Away with Me by Karma Brown
The Prayer Box by Lisa Wingate

What’s Up Next – STILL!
Keep it Moving by Twyla Tharp.
Becoming by Michelle Obama

  1. I read Carpe Demon a while ago and enjoyed it. In fact, it is on my keeper shelves for an eventual reread. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

    • It’s been on my list to read for over a year! Really must get to it soon. It fits several categories for reading challenges I take part in. Also bought her journal for the book – looks interesting.

  2. Carpe Demon sounds amusing 🙂 Reading the title ‘Come Away With Me’ reminds me of one of my favorite songs, by Norah Jones. Thanks for sharing – enjoy your week!
