It’s time once again for Kathryn’s weekly meme “It’s Monday! What are You Reading?“, at Book Date, where we share what we’re reading and have read over the past week.
What I Read Last Week
I read books 6 books – I memoir, 2 fantasies and 3 paranormal. I still have several books I’ve started, but again I just couldn’t settle to any of them, at least to finish them. I turned again to my kindle and read some shorter paranormal/fantasy ebooks – as it seems we are living in a bizarro time now.
Books I read:
Daddy-Long-Legs by Jean Webster. I read this many. many years ago, and it was a fun revisit of the YA classic.
Magical Midlife Madness by K. F. Breene. Loved this paranormal, with an older, strong female protagonist. It was a very enjoyable read – and now I have to wait til August for Book 2. Darn. Favourite of the week.
Delicious by Ruth Reichl. Sometimes I check Goodreads for how others rated books – there was a real range here. I do enjoy her cookbooks and I really enjoyed this novel by her.
Paris for One by JoJoMoyes. This met a category for Popsugar and I found it an okay read, more a novella as there were other stories I need to read.
Can You Keep a Secret? By Sophie Kinsella. I had avoided reading her books for a long time, but I am so enjoying her romances. They’re fun, with great dialogue.
Visions in White by Nora Roberts. This is the first in a trilogy and am looking forward to reading the others. Loved it.
What I’m Reading Now
The Lost Husband by Katherine Center
At Grave’s End by Jeaniene Frost
The Wedding Party by Jasmine Guillory
(I’ve still got these books below on the go – but, always something else pops up – like 3 new books I ordered from Indigo))
The Black Tide by Keri Arthur (Book 3)
Come Away with Me by Karma Brown
The Prayer Box by Lisa Wingate
What’s Up Next – STILL!
Keep it Moving by Twyla Tharp.
Becoming by Michelle Obama
Kinsella is a bit hit and miss for me, but they are usually easy, quick reads.
enjoy the rest of The Bride Quartet, Roberts is such a prolific writer!
Wishing you a great reading week, be well x
That’s what happened with Kinsella – read one a while ago I DNF – and then it was awhile til I picked her up again.
Can’t believe how prolific Roberts is! But am enjoying theat series. Thanks! Have a great week of reading yourself.
I think the books we read at the moment have to be really top notch to sweep us up, otherwise our minds wander. I did like that Nora Roberts series. I think I did the audio versions.
I’ve never been one for audiobooks – except maybe in the car. And now we aren’t going anywhere! Have a great week of reading Kathryn.
I really enjoyed the Bride Quartet! I just finished listening to a Nora Roberts book too!
I can’t wait to get reading the other 2. Thanks Marg.
Paris For One is on my TBR, I hope that you will enjoy all of your books.
Thanks Cindy. I hope to. Great reading ahead for you as well.
Nice variety of books. I usually like Nora Roberts and enjoyed that quartet. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
Thanks kathy. It was a nice variety this week. Have a great week of reading.
I also have a big stack of books near my bed that I started but aren’t holding my interest. I guess life is too stressful right now. I hope you have a great week!
Thanks AJ. I know – I have started probably 10 books, all with bookmarks. I’ll pick up one, read a bit, then turn to another. May take a while to read them all.
