It’s Friday once again and that means it’s time for Connect Five Friday, hosted at Book Date by Kathryn – the meme where we share five book/reading things that connect in some way.
While sorting through several bookcases last week, I found several books that I consider classics, that I had not read. I signed up for the “20 Books of Summer Reading Challenge” that starts June 1 and most of these I’ve put on my list of 20 books. But I hope to read them all before the end of the year.
5 Classics on My TBR shelves that I plan to read:
The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie by Muriel Spark
The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
The Alchemist by Paul Coelho
Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf
What an interesting set of classics. I have heard of a couple of them. I think I will just admire your reading of them!!
Thanks Kathryn. So many books to read, so many I want to read.
When I was in High School our theater department put on The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and we read it in English classes. What a story. And then… the movie came out.. also excellent.
I’m not sure I’ve seen the movie – altho I’ve known about the book a long time. Just never read it. Finally going to!
It is a bit of a heart-breaker…
