It’s time once again for Kathryn’s weekly meme, “It’s Monday! What are You Reading?” at Book Date, where we share what we’re reading and have read over the past week.
What I Read Last Week
I read 8 books this past week, a varied list –2 historical novels, 1 contemporary romance, a classic, a paranormal and 3 picture books.
Almost Just Friends by Jill Shalvis. I’ve been waiting for this romance for awhile and it was well worth the wait. So enjoyed it.
Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean. This was such an enjoyable historical romance by one of my favourite authors. It has been on hold at the library for awhile and was finally available.
When the Duke Was Wicked by Lorraine Heath. Another great historical romance.
Moon Dance by J. R. Rain. An interesting paranormal ebook (and free)
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I finally finished this – it has been on my TBR shelf forever.
3 PBS – I’ve them all rated 5*
Arctic White by Danna Smith, illus. by Lee White
Tea Rex by Molly Idle
Tea with Oliver by Mika Song
What I’m Reading Now – (still working on finishing the Nalini Singh series)
The Trouble With Christmas by Amy Andrews
The Heirloom Garden by Viola Shipman
What’s Up Next
Wired for Story by Lisa Cron – this is for a writer’s book club; reading 2 chapters a week
The Deadly Hours by Susanna Kearsley -planning for November as part of Novella November
Hope you enjoy The Heirloom Garden, I have the Jill Shalvis book in my TBR – need to get to it!
Thanks Kathryn. Hope you enjoy the Shalvis book as well. Happy reading!
I enjoyed The Deadly Hours and am grateful it introduced me to Susanna Kearsley. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
Thanks Kathy. She is my favourite author – try The Rose Garden – it’s a yearly reread for me! Happy reading.
Nice books this week. You’re getting a lot done. Maclean’s book sounds like fun. Looking forward to hearing what you think about The Trouble with Christmas.
Hope you have a great week.
