It’s time once again for Connect Five Friday, hosted at Book Date by Kathryn – the meme where we share five book/reading things that connect in some way.
I was checking my kindle for a next read and as I read titles, I realized I had a number of books that have “Kitchen” in the title. I found 4 I hope to read and then found another on my TBR shelf.
Here are 5 books with “Kitchen: in the title:
Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. I bought this and plan to read it this year.
The Goddesses of Kitchen Avenue by Barbara O’Neal. O’Neal is one of my favourite authors and this book is full of quirky characters, and friendship.
Love in a Tuscan Kitchen by Sheryl Ness. I have started this memoir- looks interesting. And it features Italy and food!
The Kitchen Mistress by Kathleen Shoop. An historical fiction, book 3 of her Letter Series.
Kitchens of the Great Midwest by J. Ryan Stradal. A debut novel that looks intriguing.
Great idea. I have two others on my TBR, An Orphan of Hell’s Kitchen and An Amish Christmas Kitchen. I have others that I have already read.
Thanks Carla. haven’t heard of those 2 – will check them out.
Oooh, now I’m curious if I’ve ever read a book with “kitchen” in the title! 🙂
I hadn’t thought about it til I was trying to sort thru my kindle.
This is a nice mix of “kitchen” books! The Kitchen Mistress especially caught my eye. And The Goddesses of Kitchen Avenue sounds like a lot of fun. Thank you for sharing! I hope you have a great weekend!
Thanks! have a great weekend yourself.
“Kitchen” books are a great idea. Happy reading!
Thanks Linda. It was an easy choice. Now I just have to read them all! Happy reading to you.
Yes to the Kitchen books even though food comes way down the chain in importance in terms of cooking for me. I leave that to my sisters – some of whom love every kitchen cook book written! And are great cooks themselves. I loved Barbara O’Neals book though. And I see Kitchens of the Great MidWest getting a lot of notice lately.
Thanks Kathryn. I collect cookbooks too – love the variety of recipes and the writing as well. Happy reading.
