Book Tag Thursday: The Stuck at Home Book Tag
I’ve seen these Thursday book tags and have participated a few times. This one which I saw at Rachel’s blog, caught my attention today as it seemed perfect for the situation, we are all in. (check here for where it was originally found).
- What are you currently reading?
I always have several books on the go. There’s usually:
a fantasy book: Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
A contemporary fiction and/or romance: What You Wish For by Katherine Center
An ebook: Dragon of Glass by Zoe Chant
non-fiction book: Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes
- What’s your favourite “can’t-leave-the-house” activity?
Besides reading, which is my favourite activity by far, it would have to be any art or craft project I get involved in – from collage, journaling, watercolour or felt crafts, just to name a few.
- A book you have been meaning to read forever.
- An intimidating book on your TBR. (Same book for both!)
I have several of these but the one I feel most guilty about is The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood. I loved the series but just haven’t been able to finish it. Reading it is more disturbing than watching that dystopian future.
- Top 3 priority books on your TBR.
Becoming by Michele Obama The Deadly Hours by Susanna Kearsley (and others)
What You Wish For by Katherine Center
- Recommend a short book.
Any book by Austin Kleon would be wonderful – especially if you need a creative boost
Steal Like an Artist Keep Going Show Your Work
- Recommend a long book.
I just finished rereading my favourite fantasy series – The Others by Anne Bishop. All four books in the series (and the two companion books) are all over 400 pages. And all 5* reads.
- Something you’d love to do while stuck at home.
I’d love to be able to sew better and spend time sewing a quilt. I’ve collected books and quilt patterns and material.
- What do you plan to read next?
