It’s time once again for Kathryn’s weekly meme, “It’s Monday! What are You Reading?” at Book Date, where we share what we’re reading and have read over the past week.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable Easter. It was a quiet one here, but we had lovely weather and a delicious ham dinner.

What I Read Last Week

I read 10 books plus 2 picture books. I read a contemporary romance and a romantic suspense, 6 historical romances, 1 non-fiction and 1 memoir.

4 historical romances by Lorraine Heath. I zipped through the first 3 books of her “Sins for All Seasons” series and have now finished this most enjoyable series.

beyond scandal and desire 35068744._SY475_        scoundrel in her bed 38594296

Beyond Scandal and Desire             The Scoundrel in Her Bed

when a duke loves 35564579      falling in bed with a duke 24805225

When a Duke Loves a Woman      Falling in Bed with a Duke (my favourite of the 4 – new series)

duke's stolen bride 43852822

The Duke’s Stolen Bride by Sophie Jordan. Another book in her series I enjoyed.

duke heist 53916141

Duke Heist by Erica Ridley. A different historical romance but it was a good read.

you lucky dog 49109508

You Lucky Dog by Julia London. A first read by this author but a fun one. What would you do if you got the wrong dog back from the dog-sitter?

watch over me 54605316._SY475_

Watch Over Me by Kait Nolan. Nolan is a favourite author and I’ve received a number of her ebooks for free. Enjoyed this romantic suspense.

light the dark 34043886

Light the Dark ed. by Joe Fassier.  So many exceptional essays on writing and creativity that I read for a book study the past 6 weeks. Highly recommend it.

but first Rumi Ebook cover

But First, Rumi by Chitra Ramaswami. Enjoyed this memoir – read my review here.

2 pbs to finish my book study from March – both humorous reads

No Fuzzball by Isabella King       Bob, Not Bob! By Liz Garton Scanlon

What I’m Reading Now

What You Wish For by Katherine Center

If I Knew Then by Jann Arden

What’s Up Next

Off Script by Marci Ien

    • Thanks Shelleyrae. It was definitely a week I needed to be immersed. I was in a lot of pain with my knees and reading helped me forget. Have a great reading week yourself

  1. I don’t think I’ve ever read Lorraine Heath. They sure have pretty covers. Our Easter dinner this year was chicken enchiladas. I sort of miss the ham but we’ll have that later. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
