It’s time once again for Kathryn’s weekly meme, “It’s Monday! What are You Reading?” hosted at Book Date, where we share what we’re reading and have read over the past week.
Another changeable week of weather – up and down , and even one night of freezing temperatures. But it looks to be nicer at least this week.
What I Read Last Week
I read 5 books – 4 historical romances and a fantasy.
The 4 historical romances were all by Grace Burrowes. I have quite enjoyed her series and finished off the Windham series with:
The Heir The Virtuoso
And have now started on the Lonely Lords series:
Nicholas Douglas
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. Can’t believe it has taken this long to finally read this book. I have seen the movie, but never actually read the book, even to my own kids – who did read it!
What I’m Reading Now
What You Wish For by Katherine Center (still working on it – almost done! When I get into a series tho – everything else gets put aside.)
Wild Sign By Patricia Briggs
What’s Up Next
Take a Hint Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert
Series books that hit the spot are the very best!
For sure!
I wish I had more time to binge on series 🙂
Wishing you a great reading week
Thanks Shelleyrae. Wishing you a great reading week as well.
I’m reading a book called “Heart of Stone” by Michael Chamberlain. The father of Azaria who was taken by a dingo. Many years ago l read Lindy Chamberlains book and this is from the Fathers point of view.
Sounds like fascinating reads. Will check them out. I remember the horror of that story.
I’m so not a series person! But maybe I just need to find a good one…
That’s the key – finding good ones. I love certain fantasy ones as well – series by Anne Bishop, Patricia Briggs, Nalini Singh come to mind right away.
I loved What You Wish For.
I am also curious about The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.
Enjoy your week, and here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
I was so determined to finish Center’s book (and I am enjoying it) but the series by Burrowes just grabbed me and I had to read it.
I love Grace Burrowes! She is an automatic buy for me.
I know – and to think I only discovered her this year. Now I’m zipping through her books.
I’ve never read Grace Burrows. I seem to be binging on contemporary fantasy rereads these days. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
Thanks Kathy. I love fantasy too. But I’m enjoying these books by Burrowes. Happy reading to you as well.
Our weather has been really changeable as well. There hasn’t been anything extreme (we rarely get extreme weather here), but it is fickle enough that it becomes annoying! I never know what to wear!
I can so relate Melinda. Freezing weather at night in a few days – yikes. Happy reading!
I was an adult before I discovered Narnia!
Thanks RAnn. I hoped I wasn’t the only one
