It’s Monday! What are You Reading?

It’s time once again for Kathryn’s weekly meme, “It’s Monday! What are You Reading?” hosted at Book Date, where we share what we’re reading and have read over the past week.

What I Read Last Week

I read 5 books – two romances, a non-fiction, a fantasy and 1 pix book.

love your life 53479913

Love Your Life by Sophie Kinsella. Another interesting romance from Kinsella. Ava meets a man in Italy at a retreat – will they be able to continue their romance back home when real life and family intrude?

Dating Plan 54326395

The Dating Plan by Sara Desai. An enjoyable romance. What could go wrong when you ask your former crush to be your fake fiance?

gunmetal magic 12288282

Gunmetal Magic by Ilona Andrews. This fantasy is set in the Kate Daniels world but features her bestie Andrea. Very enjoyable.

steal like an artist 13099738

Steal Like an Artist by Austin Kleon. I follow this man, through his blog and his weekly newsletter and have learned a lot. His books are short but so informative and easy to read.

colors of us19600

The Colors of Us by Karen Katz. A delightful diverse pix book. From Goodreads: “A positive and affirming look at skin color, from an artist’s perspective.”

What I’m Reading Now

Wild at Heart by K.A. Tucker

Lady Jenny’s Christmas Portrait by Grace Burrowes.

What’s Up Next

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

The Comfort Book by Matt Haig (Enjoying this a few entries at a time)

  1. Gunmetal Magic sounds very promising – I like what I have read of their books, but find them a little to blood thirsty for me but maybe this one is less so?!

    • Thanks Laurel-Rain. This one is the second in her series. It is due later at the library so had a few to read before it. But will get to. Enjoying it so far.
