It’s time once again for Kathryn’s weekly meme, “It’s Monday! What are You Reading?, hosted at Book Date, where we share what we’re reading and have read over the past week.
My hubby is slowly recovering. He came home a week ago and is moving a bit better and seems to be in less pain. Now if he would just not overdo it – as he usually does!
What I Read Last Week
I read 7 books – 3 historical romances, 2 contemporary romances, a magical realism mystery novel and 1 pix book.
It Happened One Autumn Devil in Winter Scandal in Spring
by Lisa Kleypas. So enjoyed this series
Magic for Liars by Sarah Gailey. A murder mystery, magic and lies – how could it not be fascinating?
Insight by Deborah Raney. Really enjoyed this romance that involved a widow and an who received a cornea transplant.
Eight Second Rule by Em Petrova. A romance novella that was a fun, quick read.
A Boy, a Mouse and A Spider by Barbara Herkert, illus by Lauren Castillo. A most informative, interesting picture book of E.B. White.
What I’m Reading Now
Romancing Mister Bridgerton by Julia Quinn
Onyx by Jennifer Armentrout
What’s Up Next
5 Little Indians by Michelle Good
Wild at Heart b K.A. Tucker
Those first three books have such beautiful covers! Your read for next week sounds good – Five Little Indians. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Mia. I loved that series. Now need to begin another of hers.
I am curious about Magic for Liars. Enjoy your week, and here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
Thanks Laurel-Rain. Magic for Liars was an interesting read and hooked me from the beginning.
I’m glad to hear your husband is recovering well!
Wishing you a great reading week
Thanks Shelleyrae. It will be a slow recovery – he has diabetes so that tends to slow things. But he will get there. Have a great reading week yourself.
The Boy, Mouse, and The Spider’s artwork reminds me of Tomi De’Paola he is one of my favorite children books authors, and illustrators
Thanks Teri. DePaola was a wonderful storyteller as was EB White.
Nice looking assortment of books. I don’t think I’ve ever read Kleypas and should give her a try. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
Thanks Kathy. I really enjoy her historical romances. Happy reading to you as well.
Good to know hubby is home and healing, yes going slowly and giving time for the body is important. I so loved that Lisa Kleypas series, some day I’d like to read it again via the audiobooks I have.
Thanks Kathryn. Slow but sure does win the healing race, for sure. Now iof he would be a good boy!
I’m not crazy about audiobooks. I prefer the actual book.
