It’s Monday! What are You Reading?

It’s time once again for Kathryn’s weekly meme, “It’s Monday! What are You Reading?“, hosted at Book Date, where we share what we’re reading and have read over the past week.

This looks to be a slow recovery for my hubby. After almost 2 weeks on IV antibiotics for sepsis, he still is experiencing chills and being too hot. He connects with his doctor this week, so hopefully we’ll find out what’s next.

 What I Read Last Week

I read 6 books–not much variety in genre tho – 4 romances and 2 women’s fiction.

The Road Trip by Beth O’Leary. My favourite of the week.

comfort and joy 188201

Comfort and Joy by Kristin Hannah. I needed a book by her and found this one, described as a modern-day fable. I really enjoyed it.

sleigh bells 17738241

Sleigh Bells in the Snow by Sarah Morgan. Another enjoyable romance by Morgan.

I also read 3 short Christmas romance ebooks which were okay

  1. I have read a couple of these and enjoyed. I haven’t read this Beth O’Leary but have liked the others of hers I read. All the best for the Dr visit and that they have a next step solution.

  2. I’m sorry to hear about your husband. Last year I almost lost my husband to a myriad of illnesses, sepsis being one of them. Praying for a full recovery!

Several of your books are now on my TBR list! 🙂

    • Thanks Mia. My hubby was in hospital for 4 months last year – heart issues started the cascade. BUt no covid or sepsis. How long did it take your hubby to recover from the sepsis? How long was he on antibiotics. Enjoy your reading this week!

  3. Sending prayers and best wishes for your husband that he has a quick and complication free reocvery. Sorry to hear it’s been rough. Hang in there and be well! 🙂

  4. Best wishes to your husband for a quick and thorough recovery. I just finished listening to Marked in Flesh for more than the 20th time and am now deep into Etched in Bone. I really should be reading from my review stack but my current review book is not catching my attention. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

    • Thanks Kathy. There is something about The Others that has helped me through this whole pandemic and the problems with my husband’s health issues. I’m reading it through for the third time and still enjoy it as much.
Happy reading to you as well.
