It’s time once again for Kathryn’s weekly meme, “It’s Monday! What are You Reading?”, hosted at Book Date, where we share what we’re reading and have read over the past week.
A quiet, relaxing week – even watched 2 movies with my hubby. Date nights at home!
What I Read Last Week
I read 4 books – a Christian romance, 2 paranormal romances and a scifi/fantasy.
The Prescient by J.C. Andrijeski. This was the third in her Vampire Detective Midnight series and I am hooked. Still 2 to go.
Sizzle and Burn by Jayne Ann Krentz. This is a present-day Arcane Society novel, in her series – another enjoyable read.
Driftwood Bay by Irene Hannon. I do enjoy her Hope harbor series and this one was a great read.
Hot Hex by Aurora Grey. It was hot but a fun read.
What I’m Reading Now
Portrait of a Scotsmanby Evie Dunmore
Year of Yes by Shonda Rimes (for my book club)
Becoming by Michelle Obama (starting this for my book club)
What’s Up Next
5 Little Indians by Michelle Good
Really nice to be able to have hubby home and watch a few movies together. Enjoy your books JAK usually provides good reading.
❤️ movie dates with my man
Nice to hear about your movie night. Your books look good too. I am a longtime fan of JAK. I have 112 of her books in my collection, not counting those by Amanda Quick and Jayne Castle which I also have in abundance. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
Thanks. I am just getting to her now – and enjoying the reads. happy reading to you as well.
Date nights at home are the best. We love snuggling on the couch with a movie, popcorn, or pizza! Much prefer that to going out. Also… Driftwood Bay looks great I am going to check it out more
Here is my link for the day:
Thanks Tee. Plus you can stop and run for a pit stop or more treats! Hannon’s book is part of a very enjoyable series.
I really enjoy Irene Hannon! Have a great week! https://cindysbookcorner.blogspot.com/2022/01/its-monday-3-22.html
Thanks Cindy. I’ve been enjoying this series a lot. Have a great week yourself.
I’ve had Year of Yes on my list for awhile but frankly, I’m not sure I want a year of yes for myself so I’m hesitant to read it! lol. I did read Becoming a year ago and loved it. Very hope-filled. I started Atlas of the Heart last week by Brene Brown and it is fabulous!
Thanks Lisa. I almost made Yes my word of the year but needed something more. I’ve read a couple of Brown’s books – just not that one. Will check it out.
