Connect Five Friday – Books Becoming a Movie/SeriesThis Year (That I Haven’t read and Own)

connect-5-3

It’s time once again for Connect Five Friday,  hosted at Book Date by Kathryn – the meme where we share five book/reading things that connect in some way

As I was checking what books I need to read for the Popsugar Challenge, #17 caught my eye. This was “Becoming a TV series or movie in ‘22”. As I scrolled through a long list online, I found many that I have the books for the coming movie or series. Usually, I prefer to read the book before I see the movie.

Here are 5 books on TBR shelves which are becoming a movie or series this year:

Persuasion 2156

Persuasion by Jane Austen

The Wonder 28449257

The Wonder by Emma Donoghue

storied life 18293427

The Storied Life of AJ Fikiry by Gabrielle Zevin

Time Travellerws Wife 18619684

The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

kindred60931

Kindred by Octavia Butler

Which one would you read for this challenge?

  1. I have read a couple of these. I’d probably want to watch Persuasion and have read it but don’t recommend it over any of these. I am sure they are all good.

  2. I read AJ Fikry and the Time Travelers Wife. I’m interested to see how Time Travelers Wife turns out on the screen because there are two different camps for this one: one being- it’s a romance, the other- due to age difference, it isn’t or shouldn’t be. I hope you get to read this book before it airs!

  3. I have had AJ Fikry to read for a long time and have always read positive things. I would read that one first. I remember a movie based on the Time Traveler’s Wife made back in 2009, so I guess they are making another. I liked that movie, so didn’t read the book.
