It’s time once again for Kathryn’s weekly meme, It’s Monday! What are You Reading? hosted at Book Date, where we share what we’re reading and have read over the past week.
Well it has been over 2 months since I posted here. I had my knee surgery and it went well, altho recovery has been slow. Just as I was starting to do more, my hubby got sick once again and has now been in hospital for all of July. He is having surgery Tuesday and I hope this will finally end all the problems caused by the infection.
I have had reading as my solace the past couple of months. Here is my reading from last week.
What I Read Last Week
I read 5 books – 1 romance, 3 historical romances and a woman’s fiction.
I have been reading and enjoying the Westcott series by Mary Balogh this past month and have only a couple left. I enjoyed three of them this past week:

The Perfect Letter by Chris Harrison. Realy enjoyed this novel, with letters throughout linking to the past.

Phantom Waltz by Catherine Anderson. An enjoyable romance.
What I’m Reading Now
The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon
What I am Reading Next
Heir to the Shadows by Anne Bishop
I’ve enjoyed some of those Mary Balogh books and loved all that series by Catherine Anderson. Hope your hubby comes through well with the op, wouldn’t it be great if they can find source of infection. Just unbelievable its been this long.
Thanks Kathryn. They did a radioactive test last week that pinpointed the infection – now they hope to drain it tomorrow. Dingers crossed that gets it all.
Great at least now they know where they are targeting. Fingers and toes crossed indeed.
That is good news Bev. I hope this does the trick for him.
Sorry your husband’s been having health problems. I’ll be praying the surgery fixes things for him.
Thanks Mark. Sure need those prayers.
Welcome back! I hope your husband’s surgery goes well. I used to read a lot of Mary Balogh but haven’t read her in years. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
Thanks Kathy. Just re-discovered her recently and enjoying this series.
I’m glad to hear that your surgery went well and I hope your husband’s health issues and surgery also go well!
Yes, it sounds like reading was a bit of a savior for you…as it is for all of us from time to time!
Thanks Melinda. Happy reading.
Thanks again Kathryn
I’m so sorry your husband got sick again for all of July! You two have had such a difficult year. 😦 I’m glad you were able to find some solace in reading. It is usually a comfort to me as well.
Thanks Lisa. Hopefully he is finally on the mend and soon home.
