It’s time once again for Kathryn’s weekly meme, It’s Monday! What are You Reading?, hosted at Book Date, where we share what we’re reading and have read over the past week.
My hubby is now getting rehab at a local Rehab facility. He is doing well and hopefully will be home in a week or two.
What I Read Last Week
I read 3 books – 2romances and a mystery/thriller
The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman. What a fun read. No, I did not guess the mystery but what a lot of twists and turns. Can’t wait for the next 2.
Kiss Hard by Nalini Singh. I was finally able to get this last one of her Hard series and really enjoyed this romance.
Just for the Summer by Sue Moorcroft. Another romance, which I really enjoyed. A new author for me as well.
What I’m Reading Now
The Sea Glass Cottage by RaeAnne Thayne
Phosphorescence by Julia Baird ( a NF slow-read)
What I am Reading Next
Shield of Winter by Nalini Singh
The Man Who Died Twice by Richard Osman
I’m so glad to see you are enjoying The Thursday Murder Club books, Bev. The second one has a lot of great humour in it.
Thanks Carla. I’ve just started reading bk. 2. It was the humour in the first that really got me wanting to continue the series.
The Thursday Murder Club books look so interesting, and I love the cover of Just For the Summer. Happy Reading!
Thanks Kym Both were fun reads. Happy reading to you as well.
Good to hear hubby is recuperating reasonably well. Lots of reading achieved as usual! Yay for Nalini!
Thanks Kathryn. Finally catching up on a few Psy-Changeling books never read.
You, like me tend to read a variety of genres.
It is a necessity – usually have several on the go at once, as can need a change of pace/genre midway through a book.
I loved the Thursday Murder Club books on audio! I almost never try to guess the murderer because why spoil the surprise? 😉 This gives it away that I’m not a die-hard mystery reader; I only read them occasionally, and always on audio. I like the ones that have more to do with the characters than solving a mystery, and the Richard Osman books definitely fall into that category!
Glad your husband is doing well in rehab and is local, too!
Thanks Laurie. i don’t read many mystery books. But really enjoying this series – so much humour and quirky characters.
