It’s Monday! What are You Reading?

It’s time once again for Kathryn’s weekly meme, It’s Monday! What are You Reading?   hosted at Book Date, where we share what we’re reading and have read over the past week.

This weekend we celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada. Yesterday we had our turkey dinner with all the trimmings – for 3. I have not been up to holding our usual family feasts for a couple of years now. This was stress-free.

Today hubby and I had my favourite – turkey leftovers. So quick, so tasty.

What I Read Last Week

I read 4 books – a fantasy, 2 women’s fiction, and an historical romance,

2 books by Patti Callahan Henry., both of which I thoroughly enjoyed

The Art of keeping Secrets

And Then I Found You

The Winter Witch by Paula Brackston. I enjoyed this fantasy, an historical fiction.

The Autumn Bride by Anne Gracie. An enjoyable historical romance read

What I’m Reading Now

Phosphorescence by Julia Baird ( a NF slow-read)

What I am Reading Next

Born a Crime by Trevor Noah

  1. Sounds like a quiet but good Thanksgiving Bev. I loved that series by Anne Gracie, refreshing. I don’t think I’ve read either of the Patti Callahan Henry ones but must seek them out on audio at some point.

  2. We celebrated Thanksgiving on Saturday and had a wonderful time. Your reading looks interesting – I especially like the cover of The Art of Keeping Secrets. Makes me want to find out more. Happy Reading!

  3. Smaller gatherings can be nice at the holidays. We used to have so many more big family gatherings. I miss them in a way, but don’t miss the stress!
I haven’t read any of the books on your list this week, but they all sound good. Enjoy!

  4. Thanksgiving is still Thanksgiving however you choose to celebrate it. Glad you had a nice one, Bev! Excited that you’re about to begin the Trevor Noah book. I really enjoyed it myself.
