Our flowers have definitely started to bloom. And June is soon here.
It’s that time to share what I have been reading this past month. I did not have as much variety in my reading this past month, not even reading any picture books. The total read for may was 24 books) with the following breakdown:

I decided this year to record in more detail where the books originated – from the library, on my TBR shelves, an e-book, bought /gifted or a charity read (Bought from a charity store). Here’s the breakdown
Library reads – 16
TBR books –2
e-books – 4

How We Disappeared by Jing-Jing Lee – a book about the “comfort women”, held against their will by the Japanese troops during WWII. So powerful!

  1. You sure read a lot of books – some I’ve read and enjoyed. I read Persuasion by listening to it on audio last year and found that was a good way to go. Lot of library love going on.

    • Thanks Kathryn. I love our local library. I can order books online and then pick them a day or so later. It does help that I am retired! makes up for all the years i hardly read anything not school related.

      • Bev I love our library online ordering too, except when too many come in together and I get a bit swamped. Yes I am retired too and it does help indeed!

  2. I know what you mean kathryn. Right now I have 40 books out from the library – I had so many recommended books I kept ordering and then all of a sudden they all arrived together!

  3. Great mix of books and genres! And so many!! I want to read The Bride Test as I’ve heard great reviews. I’m reading mostly YA and MG, although I branched out in May and read and loved Natalie Tan’s Book of Luck and Fortune.
