Today is Day 8 of the March Slice of Life – the daily writing challenge for March, hosted at “Two Writing Teachers”.
Hard to believe that last week I was snow blowing our driveway of 6”+ of snow and wearing snowpants, boots and mitts, with the temperature well below freezing.
This morning as I got our newspapers from the driveway, I was in shirtsleeves, sandals and there was hardly any snow left.
The temperature is supposed to reach 14C today, 17C tomorrow, with rain predicted the next few days.
Strange weather has become the norm. You never know what to wear going out. I was in sneakers yesterday and in a too-warm coat. March Break is expected to be a lovely one next week. Who needs to escape cold and snow now?
Today is also International Women’s Day.
So many wonderful role models to remember and emulate.
So many wrongs still to right.
A time to reflect on what women have achieved and what still has to be achieved.
“Pledge for Parity” – theme for this year. A noble and necessary goal.
It is almost 70 here today…Spring is definitely in the air!
It sure felt like spring as well Tara.
We are facing several days of rain, much preferred to the snow. Happy International Women’s Day!
I know – I’m not crazy about dealing with snow for sure.
I was so warm in the car this am, wore that heavy coat you mentioned, couldn’t wait to park & take it off. We had rain & a bit of snow yesterday, but today, back up again. I can’t believe it was just a week ago for that snow either.
I know – this weather is crazy. Was listening to reports from Texas and they are getting tornados. We got as high today of 17C. Rain tomorrow.
Isn’t amazing how quickly the weather can change? It’s a good reminder that nothing is forever!
It has been such a strange winter – all over Nortth America for sure.
