I is for Inspiration and Ideas
I visit blogs, watch TV, read books, and just listen – always in search of inspiration for my art and ideas for my writing.
The trouble is – lately the search has become more important than actually acting on that inspiration and ideas.
I dabble but haven’t written much in a long while. I have stories waiting to be revised, several novels started and tons of ideas. I had hoped this year would be different, that I would get back to a daily writing routine, that I would be inspired to get back to work. Not so much.
This year’s March SOL is helping me to get back to daily putting pen to paper, coaxing words and sentences onto the page. It is also inspiring me to focus on writing the memoir I had started a while ago. Thanks SOL!

This sounds a bit like Kathy and her quilting. She is always on the lookout for new patterns and materials that she sometimes forgets to take the time and actually do what she really enjoy…making a quilt. I guess it is all about focusing.
lately it seems to be about not feeling good enough – at least the past year. But I need to worry less about it getting published and more about the journey. I collect quilt magazines as well – have yet to make a quilt!
